SLA Renegotiation According to Traffic Demand
نویسندگان
چکیده
To access the Internet, companies define a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Nevertheless, the current Internet does not assure Quality of Service (QoS), what points toward the concept of network virtualization and software defined network (SDN) to support the Future Internet. Moreover, the initial parameter defined in the SLA could be insufficient if the traffic vary, could result in a lower quality experienced by users. Within this context, this work proposes a solution for the SLA renegotiation problem in the context of resource usage variation, aiming to guarantee the QoS provided by the ISPs.

Proactive Resource Provisioning for Voice over IP
This paper presents a dynamic Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiation scheme between peer autonomous systems (ASes) that implement DiffServ per domain behaviors. For concreteness, we tailor our scheme to account for the needs of VoIP transport across multiple ASes. We present a heuristic but computationally simple and distributed scheme that uses traffic statistics to forecast the near-future...

Allocating resources in networks to QoS flows may require undesirable delays or costs. We consider a dynamic Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiation scheme between peer autonomous systems (ASes) that implement DiffServ per domain behaviors. متن کاملTowards Dependency Management in Service Compositions
Business services are a valuable asset to be traded on internet service marketplaces. While they are offered via the internet their execution often involves manual steps. The provisioning of services is regulated by service level agreements (SLA). The composition of business services enables the creation of innovative business processes which can be offered as services again. Selling these serv...
متن کاملA Model for Dynamic QoS Negotiation applied to an MPEG4 Application
The traffic generated by multimedia applications presents a great amount of burstiness, which can hardly be described by a static set of traffic parameters. The dynamic and efficient usage of the resources is one of the fundamental aspects of multimedia networks: the traffic specification should first reflect the real traffic demand, but optimise, at the same time, the resources requested. This...
متن کاملBandwidth Renegotiation Scheme for VBR Video Services
Abstract In this work we show how the existence of long term variability in Variable Bit Rate (VBR) video traffic imposes the need of bandwidth renegotiation. In particular, two simple scenarios with a fixed renegotiation interval are considered. Using a real MPEG trace the renegotiation scheme is evaluated to prove its benefits in terms of bandwidth gain and quality of service. The problem of ...
